About Ashgate
Ashgate Automation Ltd was formed in 1989 by managing director John Price. Lewis Price joined the business in 2000, together John and Lewis have moulded Ashgate into today’s digital equipment one-stop solution. Built on the success of the KAS range of Crease Matic card creasers and the Kasfold bookletmaker and trimmer, in recent years Ashgate has firmly established itself as the UK distributor for the Fastbind product range.

Fastbind Booklet and Photobook Makers
The Fastbind range built by Maping Co in Finland, has grown into today’s
market-leading range of binding solutions for the on-demand binding and photobook making sector. The Fastbind range includes; Booxter and FotoMount photobook makers, Casematic hardcover casemakers and hot glue perfect binders including the Elite XT. The Fastbind range produces personalised; photo books, staple bound photobooks, ring binders, paper over board cases, school yearbooks, lay-flat photo albums, soft cover perfect bound books and hardcover bound books, to name but a few applications.

New premises - new goals
Ashgates 2010 has seen Ashgate move into new purpose-built premises featuring a new 1600 sq ft showroom, which is probably one the the largest displays of Fastbind in the world. The new site also has new warehousing, doubled in size to accommodate the stocks of Fastbind and KAS products together with a large stock of Fastbind supplies for our customers. It is important for our customers that we have the stock they need. Customers visiting our new Chalgrove showroom can see the full Fastbind and KAS ranges on display, together with digital printing and software displays from our partners companies.

Ashgate quality of care
Ashgate pride itself on the quality of technical back-up, with factory trained engineers. Full product training is carried out included in our prices, on our larger Fastbind systems training over 2 or 3 visits is provided where required. The Fastbind systems are not simply boxes to be sent out by courier, which is fast becoming the norm with many companies in the print market. Although simple to operate, Ashgate spend time with new customers to train them thoroughly ensuring that customers achieve the maximum profit potential from their new Fastbind purchase, by offering their customers the widest range of products that the new Fastbind kit is able to produce.
