Ashgate Join Konica Minolta at Northprint 2011

Ashgate were invited to join Konica Minolta on their stand at Northprint this year. Working alongside Taopix and Konica Minolta at Northprint was a great opportunity for Ashgate to demonstrate the Fastbind range under working conditions.

Customers were impressed at the wide range of opportunities that the Fastbind range presented and at reasonable prices.

The Fastbind range of hardcover and photobook makers were demonstrated producing a variety of photobooks including; hardcover perfect bound, hardcover lay-flat photobooks and hardcover staple-bound photobooks. The hardcovers were all produced using the new “Lamifree” tacking paper which doesn’t require laminating.

New premises - new goals

Ashgates 2010 has seen Ashgate move into new purpose-built premises featuring a new 1600 sq ft showroom, which is probably one the the largest displays of Fastbind in the world. The new site also has new warehousing, doubled in size to accommodate the stocks of Fastbind and KAS products together with a large stock of Fastbind supplies for our customers. It is important for our customers that we have the stock they need. Customers visiting our new Chalgrove showroom can see the full Fastbind and KAS ranges on display, together with digital printing and software displays from our partners companies. Ashgate & Taopix open days

Ashgate and Taopix will be hosting more open days to show complete end-to-end photobook production, from software to finishing. The venue will be Ashgate’s new showroom in Chalgrove, near Oxford.

Taopix Photobook software will be used to set up a book in minutes, prior to printing on an Oki ES9410 digital printer. Binding and finishing will be shown on three types of Fastbind photobook makers, the FotoMount lay-flat system, BooXter staple binding system and the Elite perfect binder. A Fastbind CaseMatic will be in action producing personalised hard covers.
